Sydney, Ramón Monegal EDP
He sipped fresh pineapple juice as he finished his late breakfast. Beautiful full bloom rose bushes perfumed the pristine terrace. The clear blue sky and bright sun further set the stage as he contemplated and marvelled at the awe-inspiring architectural backdrop of the Sydney Opera House. A visual realisation of an architect’s passion, which soon would combine with his true passion, sailing. He delighted with anticipation of what was to come. Stepping on the sailboat, the wooden deck welcomed him with a familiar humid scent of noble wood, the soothing gentle rocking back and forth as the final preparations were made for this much await experience. He set sail, gaining speed as he passed under the harbour bridge, cutting sharp angles through the sea as the continuous wind filled the magnificent sails, his face sprayed with a constant salty reminder that the sea was ever omni-present in their togetherness. Sydney, a day of great passions.
Ramón inspired by one of his great passions: sailing! Breeze, sea, sun and blue sky in a unique architectural environment.
Ramón’s passion for sailing is a recollection of Sydney. Citrus notes of BERGAMOT and PINEAPPLE perforate the architectural blue skies and bright sun. Wind ladened MARINE ACCORDS combined with noble WOODS invoke images of a majestic sailboat on the sea, combined with ROSE and MUSK to give the fragrance heart and a genuine quality and depth.
Top notes: Bergamot, Pineapple, Anise, Marine Accords

Born in Barcelona, Ramón belongs to Spain’s most important family of perfumers, who were appointed as suppliers to the Spanish Royal House. His life-long love of art, literature and architecture is further compounded by his proud Spanish roots and his love of his family, culminating in a truly passionate, artistic creator.
As a fourth-generation nose, Ramón has studied with some of the greats in Geneva, Grasse and Paris. Fascinated with design, and the conceptualisation of science and art, Ramon also studied architecture following another of his great passions. Literature, an important key word for this illustrious perfumer who masterfully translates the written word into fragrance, with so many memorable perfume-story triumphs.
