Gold is the first fragrance from Amouage. Guy Robert described it as his most perfect symphony, the culmination of his career. It's a scent for special occasions, containing 120 entirely natural essences sourced from around the world. Particularly valuable is the silver frankincense, which grows in the inaccessible mountains of Dhofar in southern Oman. The scent of frankincense has remarkable properties: it lifts the mood, enhances brain function, and boosts confidence. Frankincense, a symbol of divinity, was one of the gifts—along with myrrh and gold—offered to the infant Jesus by the three wise men. Interestingly, myrrh is also part of the fragrance's composition, and the color of the bottles is gold.
