The artistic expression of two Italian talents, Domitilla Biondi Paper Poetry and Iris Roth Ceramic Artist, for the new olfactory project 2022 by THoO. Contemporary sculptures made with paper and clay, elegant expressive shapes in balance with the environment and nature combined with bottles that recall the colours of matter, and formulations in the inspirations of the two artists.

In 2022 THoO chooses the purest creativity, nature, organic work, passion for aesthetics and craftsmanship as its absolute protagonists. A new chapter that tells us about ancient workmanship, which sometimes preserves that unpredictability of the result that contributes to the richness and uniqueness of each piece thanks to the materials. The same craftsmanship and search for uniqueness that distinguishes the creations of THoO bottles.

HIDDEN SHADES

THoO’s second fragrance explores the world of matter with a ceramic artist, Iris Roth, an interior designer from Milan. A child of art, she discovered this material at a young age, while watching her father sculpting in his atelier. Each of her pieces is unique and made in Italy, just like THoO’s fragrances. The collaboration with this artist is certainly inspired by her unconventional style and passion for aesthetics, her work is organic and, as with her ceramics, the focus is on craftsmanship. The earth with its sienna, amber and ochre shades and the material are the starting points. The works show us the stratification of her experiences, through pure and simple forms and her strong passion for the material, respecting its characteristics and origin.

If Iris Roth were to describe her fragrance, it would tell us about nature, emotions, memories and associations. Of a warm, perfumed environment, made of golden wheat fields, turquoise green water, natural fibres and woods such as sandalwood.

A fragrance with a dual soul. Cherry Blossom, Benzoin and Mirabelle Plum evoke the sinuous, soft lines of fine ceramics instilling a sense of reassuring welcome. Sandalwood, Patchouli and Cistus refer to the idea of depth and matter, transmitting to us the image of clay that, polished and malleable, is skillfully shaped until it loses its eternal fragility revealing itself in all its strength...
