THE STORY
The hotel was a luxurious five-star oasis surrounded by the Dubai desert. Entering the restaurant, it was as if she has stepped back in time to the Arabian nights despite the unmistakable futuristic Dubai Skyline seen far in the distance through the windows. Lavish arabesque carved wooden partitioning: coloured glass lanterns glinted while musicians sat on cushions expertly played ouds. The attentive waiter festooned her table with indulgent, amber-coloured dates studded with almonds, and a banquet-style array of traditional pastries and sweets. Each a work of art, elaborated with pine nuts,  pistachios, walnuts, honey and dried fruits, with the delicate sweet aromas of orange and rose. Cardamom flavoured Arabic coffee in an ornate tall coffee pot, was masterfully poured for her in a traditional gold decorated glass cup, filling the air, and her heart, with a flavour of an Arabic bygone era. Dubai a lavish, avant-garde city, retaining its culinary traditions of years gone by.

Anne reflects on her memories of Dubai through her unforgettable gastronomy. Notes that make us savour ARABIC SWEETS, SPICES and DATES, which give the fragrance quality and exquisite taste. An intense background of exotic VANILLA wrapped in an AMBER universe gives a great trail to the fragrance.

ANNE FLIPO
Born in a village near the pretty town of Laon, Anne’s mother, half French half Italian played an important role in her life. Insisting on a demanding, but somewhat isolating school environment, focusing on the classics, arts and sport, she also held the view that girls had as many opportunities as boys, if not more.

Looking for more freedom Anne decided, against her parents’ wishes, to attend ISIP. Learning how to smell was second nature, trained by very distinguished perfumers. Her insatiable hunger for freedom drives her constantly. Poetics, a key word for this prolific perfumer with historic perfume successes. Despite her almost mathematical rigor and individualism, she has learnt to enjoy working with other perfumers.
