ŚASVA
Śasva - Sanskrit for excellent and praiseworthy, is a modern luxury fragrance house born in India and created for the world.
Founded in 2022 by Sriman Subramanian, emerging from a 70-year family legacy in construction, architecture, and the award-winning boutique hospitality of Svatma Hotels, Śasva was born from a belief that India’s extraordinary olfactive heritage had never been fully told on the world stage.
Our emblem is the thousand-petal lotus - the ancient symbol of expanded consciousness. In Indian philosophy, it represents the point where the earthly and the Infinite meet.
Rooted in a 4,000-year fragrance heritage
India holds one of the world’s oldest scent traditions, woven into spiritual, medicinal and cultural life.
Ancient inspiration, modern expression
ŚASVA reinterprets this heritage through contemporary perfumery, with design inspired by ancient Indian symbolism in a modern luxury form.
Created with world-class perfumers
Developed in collaboration with renowned perfumers including Jordi Fernández, Hamid Merati-Kashani, Christian Carbonnel, Philippine Courtière and Luca Maffei.
Each creation is designed to transport the wearer, from sunlit temple corridors to vibrant fruit markets, from mist-covered hills to silk-draped evenings. Through scent, we tell stories of place, texture and atmosphere.
Our perfumes distil India’s serenity, richness and sensual contrasts into immersive, contemporary compositions. Crafted with master perfumers and guided by precision and restraint, they are designed not only to be worn, but to be experienced.
“ŚASVA remains rooted in India’s perfumery tradition while reflecting a culture that is evolving and confidently modern.”
We draw inspiration from sacred temples, poetry, music and ritual, and from the interplay of stone, silk and light. Markets brim with mango, coconut, saffron and cardamom, while landscapes shift from tropical coasts to mist-covered hills. This richness becomes a sensual journey through India, expressed through sandalwood, incense, rose and spice, interpreted through a contemporary lens.
