"There's a well know Caribbean spice called "pimento" or "pimenta", that has the endearing name of "allspice" in English. I have always found this name quite curious and for a good reason: when the spice was brought to England, everyone had trouble describing it as it had fragrances of clove, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg, wrapped altogether in one!
As a perfumer, I am very fond of spices, and I love their importance in the history of mankind. They are full of nobility. No wonder why we are always looking for "the spice in life"!... so I wanted Wilgermain to have a very spicy fragrance in its repertoire. And here it is!
For this fragrance, I wanted to explore this "allspice" concept, using a myriad of different spices that together, would deliver a totally new, unknown spice aroma. A special quality of pepper from Nepal brought that extra punch that I was looking for.”
